With three clinic locations in North Melbourne, Yarraville, and Surrey Hills, we provide a calm, supportive environment where older clients feel genuinely cared for.
We work in partnership with both Home Care Packages (HCPs) and the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), making it easier for eligible clients to receive high-quality care without added financial pressure. Our multidisciplinary team includes qualified physiotherapists, myotherapists, massage therapists, and mental health professionals.
We understand the physical and emotional challenges that come with ageing, and we are here to provide both the expertise and compassion needed to navigate them. Our clinics are calm, purpose-built spaces designed to help clients feel relaxed, respected, and supported.

Home Care Packages are government-funded programs designed to support older Australians who want to remain living at home safely and independently. The funding can be used for a wide range of health and wellbeing services, including allied health. At MyoFitness, we regularly work with HCP providers and care coordinators to ensure the referral, approval, and billing process is seamless. Once confirmed, clients can begin receiving regular treatments at any of our clinic locations.
The CHSP provides entry-level support for older people who are starting to need extra help. While it offers shorter-term or less intensive services than HCPs, allied health support may still be available depending on the client’s needs and care plan. We accept CHSP referrals and work closely with aged care providers to ensure each client receives appropriate and meaningful care delivered by experienced professionals in a safe, respectful setting.
Myotherapy at MyoFitness addresses chronic musculoskeletal pain, reduced mobility, and postural changes that accumulate with age. Through targeted assessment and manual therapy, myotherapy helps older clients manage pain, improve movement quality, reduce fall risk through better muscle function, and maintain the physical independence that daily life requires.
Physiotherapy at MyoFitness supports older clients with rehabilitation after surgery or injury, management of chronic musculoskeletal conditions, balance and falls prevention, and exercise programming appropriate to age and capacity. Physiotherapy under a valid GP CDM plan also attracts a Medicare rebate for eligible older clients.
Remedial massage supports pain relief, improved circulation, scar tissue management, and relaxation for older clients. Lymphatic drainage is particularly relevant for older clients managing lymphoedema, chronic fluid retention, or post-surgical swelling. Both services can be funded through Home Care Packages where clinically indicated and approved by the care coordinator.
Our multidisciplinary team includes qualified physiotherapists, myotherapists, massage therapists, and mental health professionals. We understand the physical and emotional challenges that come with ageing, and we are here to provide both the expertise and compassion needed to navigate them.
Each treatment is tailored to the individual’s needs, whether it is improving movement, reducing pain, supporting emotional wellbeing, or enjoying greater comfort and confidence. No two older clients present the same way, and no two treatment plans at MyoFitness look the same.
For families and carers enquiring on behalf of an older loved one, our team is available to answer questions, explain the funding process, and ensure you have everything you need to make an informed decision before any appointments are booked. Call 03 9028 4087 or email info@myofitness.com.au and we will guide you from the first conversation.
Call us on 03 9028 4087 or email info@myofitness.com.au to discuss your or your loved one’s situation. Our team will help identify which services may be appropriate and confirm whether your Home Care Package or CHSP funding can be applied to treatment at MyoFitness.
We regularly work with HCP providers and care coordinators to ensure the referral, approval, and billing process is seamless. You do not need to navigate the administrative process alone. Our team will communicate directly with your aged care provider and guide you every step of the way.
Each treatment at MyoFitness is tailored to the individual’s needs, whether it is improving movement, reducing pain, supporting emotional wellbeing, or enjoying greater comfort and confidence. Your treatment plan is not generic. It is built around your specific presentation, your goals, and your capacity at the time of treatment.
Once confirmed, clients can begin receiving regular treatments at any of the three MyoFitness clinic locations in North Melbourne, Yarraville, or Surrey Hills. Our clinics are calm, purpose-built spaces designed to help older clients feel relaxed, respected, and supported at every appointment.
Home Care Package funding is specifically designed to help older Australians remain living at home safely and independently. Allied health services at MyoFitness support this goal by managing musculoskeletal pain, improving mobility, reducing fall risk, and addressing the physical and emotional challenges that accumulate with age.
Chronic musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, osteoporosis-related changes, and reduced joint mobility are among the most common presentations in older clients at MyoFitness. Our practitioners have experience adapting assessment and treatment for older bodies, with appropriate modifications to pressure, positioning, and technique to ensure comfort and safety at every session.
Lymphoedema and chronic lower limb swelling are common in older Australians, particularly following cancer treatment, surgery, or prolonged reduced mobility. Manual lymphatic drainage at MyoFitness, where funded through a Home Care Package and clinically appropriate, supports lymphatic health and physical comfort. The number of sessions for Decongestive Lymphatic Therapy varies depending on the individual case and severity. A typical treatment may last two to three weeks, with two sessions a week initially, decreasing in frequency as progress is made.
Recovery from joint replacement, cardiac surgery, or prolonged hospitalisation in older adults requires careful, progressive rehabilitation that accounts for reduced physiological reserve and the specific demands of returning to safe daily activity. Physiotherapy and myotherapy at MyoFitness support this recovery process in a calm, accessible clinic environment.
Grief, isolation, anxiety about health, cognitive change, and the emotional experience of losing independence are significant psychological challenges for many older Australians. Psychology and counselling at MyoFitness provides a professional, compassionate space to address these challenges, available through HCP funding for eligible clients.
MyoFitness regularly works with families and carers who are making allied health arrangements on behalf of an older loved one. We are happy to discuss options, explain the HCP and CHSP process, and liaise with care coordinators and providers on your behalf. Call 03 9028 4087 or email info@myofitness.com.au to start the conversation.
