We opened our doors in 2021, just as things were starting to reopen after Covid, and physiotherapy has become a big part of what we do since then. To be recognised for it at a national level means a lot to our team.
The Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards celebrate small businesses that are making a real difference in what they do. Being a finalist in the Physiotherapy category is a nod to the care our practitioners bring to every appointment, and to the people who trust us with their recovery.
Our physiotherapy works hand in hand with the rest of our services, so we can look at the whole person instead of just one sore spot. Alongside Myotherapy, Remedial Massage, Lymphatic Drainage and Psychology, it means we can match the care to you. It’s practical and hands on, and it’s built around helping you move well, get stronger and get back to the things you love.
What matters most to us is that it’s there for everyone. We started MyoFitness because we believe good healthcare should be affordable and within reach, no matter who you are or where you’ve come from. No one should have to manage pain on their own, and we’re here so they don’t have to.
One thing we’re especially proud to offer is the Watson Headache® Approach. A few of our practitioners are trained in it, and for people who live with headaches and migraines it can be life changing. It’s a careful, hands-on way of assessing and treating the upper neck, which for a lot of people turns out to be closely linked to their head pain. When it helps, it really helps, and watching someone get relief after years of struggling is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
We feel lucky to do this work, and luckier still to do it in a community that backs us the way ours does. The support we get from the people around us has been second to none, and we don’t take it for granted. This one is for our team and for the people we get to help.
