2026 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards · Elizabeth Ruach, Founder & CEO
Finalist
Australian Women's Small Business Champion Awards
Elizabeth opened MyoFitness in 2021, right as everyone was finding their feet again after Covid. It wasn’t the obvious time to start a health clinic. But the need was hard to ignore. A lot of people were hurting, and too many of them were trying to get through it on their own. She wanted to do something about that.
The Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards recognise the women who build and run small businesses around the country. Being named a finalist is a lovely nod to the work Elizabeth has put in. Ask her about it, though, and she’ll point straight back to the team and the community around us.
Elizabeth came to this through a lifelong love of health, fitness and athletics. She trained as a Myotherapist and a Personal Trainer, and over the years she has worked with all sorts of people, from everyday clients to elite athletes. One idea stuck with her the whole way: no one should have to live in pain, and good care shouldn’t be hard to get.
That idea is still the reason MyoFitness is the way it is. We’ve grown to four clinics across North Melbourne, Yarraville, Surrey Hills and Spotswood, and the goal hasn’t changed. We want to be as accessible as we can to as many people as possible. We think healthcare should be affordable and within reach for everyone, and that no one should have to face chronic pain, or any kind of pain, by themselves.
The part we’re most thankful for is the community we get to look after. The support we’ve had from the people around us has been second to none, and we feel privileged to work with people from all walks of life. So this one belongs to them just as much as it belongs to us.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of MyoFitness so far. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, and there’s still plenty we want to do.
