MyoFitness is a proud NDIS registered provider of myotherapy and remedial massage services across Melbourne. As of October 2024, myotherapy is officially recognized as an allied health profession under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. This means your NDIS plan can fund clinical, evidence-based myotherapy treatment to help you achieve your goals and live more independently.
We make the process simple. There are no referral requirements, no waiting lists, and no unnecessary barriers. If you have an NDIS plan that includes Therapeutic Supports funding, you can book directly with us. We handle the approvals process and work with your plan manager to ensure your sessions are funded seamlessly.
NDIS funding for myotherapy is designed to support your goals around independence, function, and wellbeing. Myotherapy treats musculoskeletal conditions, manages chronic pain, improves mobility, and supports functional recovery. If these align with your NDIS plan, funding is available through Therapeutic Supports.
NDIS funding for myotherapy falls under the Therapeutic Supports category. This is capacity-building funding designed to improve your capacity to participate in daily life and community activities. Myotherapy addresses musculoskeletal dysfunction, which directly impacts your ability to move, work, socialize, and live independently.

MyoFitness can work with NDIS participants to provide an individualised therapy experience based on their circumstances and goals. Depending on the participant’s NDIS plan and funding arrangements, therapy options and payment arrangements can differ, so participants should confirm that the service is appropriate for their plan before commencing treatment.
NDIS-funded therapy should be focused on the individual participant and their functional needs. At MyoFitness, treatment can be tailored around goals such as improving movement, managing muscular discomfort, supporting physical activity and helping participants maintain greater independence in everyday life.
Every NDIS participant has different needs, abilities and goals. Treatment is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Myotherapy and massage techniques can be adapted according to the participant’s physical presentation, comfort, communication needs, mobility and functional goals.
The goal is not simply to make muscles feel better for a short period. Appropriate hands-on therapy may support participants with movement, muscular comfort, flexibility and physical function, helping them participate more comfortably in everyday activities, exercise, work or community activities.
Some participants may have sensory sensitivities, communication difficulties, anxiety around physical contact or specific positioning requirements. Treatment can therefore be adjusted through pressure, positioning, pacing, communication and therapist approach to create a more comfortable and predictable experience.
Muscle tightness, restricted movement and physical discomfort can make everyday activities more challenging. Myotherapy can use targeted soft-tissue techniques, massage, stretching and other appropriate hands-on approaches to support mobility, movement quality and physical comfort.
NDIS support should connect with the participant’s broader goals. Treatment may be incorporated into a participant’s routine to support goals such as maintaining physical capacity, participating in activities, improving comfort during movement or supporting independence. The approach is reviewed as the participant’s needs and goals change.
